Abstract

Tourist areas bring together children and families with population mobility, cultural diversity, and lifestyle changes that can be both challenges and sources of social learning. This study analyzes the resilience mechanisms of Islamic values in early childhood and the synergy between families, PAUD/RA institutions, and the community in the Senggigi tourist area, West Lombok. The research uses a qualitative approach with a multi-site case study design across six PAUD/RA institutions. There were 36 informants, consisting of six institution heads, 12 teachers, 12 parents, three religious figures, and three community leaders. Data was collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through data condensation, coding, data presentation, within-site analysis, and cross-site synthesis. The findings show four interconnected mechanisms: habituation and role modeling in the family; a religious school culture and contextual learning in early childhood education (PAUD/RA); socio-religious experiences through TPQ, mosques, religious study groups, and local traditions; and alignment of messages and practices between home, school, and community. Tourism environments don’t deterministically weaken children’s religiosity; their influence is mediated by the strength of relationships, consistency of practices, and social support around the child
